Kacha Photography Studio - Identity Redesign
Project Type: Speculative / Self-Initiated
A branding project for a children’s photography studio, focusing on a visual identity that balances playfulness and professionalism. The logo is developed in a soft, character-driven style to reflect the studio’s focus on babies and young children, while also introducing a sense of warmth and family connection. A custom cartoon figure is used as a core element, creating a friendly and recognisable identity that resonates with both children and parents, and aligns with the interior environment. The form language draws from rounded squares and soft edges, echoing both a childlike visual language and the “big eye” of a camera lens. Subtle gestures, such as the character’s greeting posture, introduce a sense of play and immediacy, reinforcing the studio’s approachable and intimate atmosphere. The name KACHA supports a more dynamic expression, allowing the logo to adapt across different applications while maintaining a sense of movement and lightness. The overall system aims to create a themed photographic space — where visual identity, spatial atmosphere, and image production come together as a shared experience for families.
